The Value Chain of Hydrogen Industry

The transport sector is a relatively mature field of hydrogen energy applications in the downstream. For example, hydrogen fuel heavy trucks have been piloted in many places throughout the collaboration between upstream and downstream organizations. But the purchase cost of fuel cell vehicles is still relatively high, and FCEVs lack of ability to be fully commercialized.

The platform is committed to becoming the first green and environmentally friendly hydrogen freight company in China. The company is preparing to build the largest cold logistics chain of hydrogen freight fleets in China while developing a nationwide express delivery service. 

Fangshan project begins with Little Persimmon noticing that a large amount of heavy truck transportation business in Fangshan Beijing is in urgent need of a low-carbon emission transition. Therefore, Little Persimmon cooperated with those entities, replacing some fossil-fuel vehicles with hydrogen fuel heavy trucks to transport chemical products and commodities.

Since the beginning stage of the hydrogen industry, the selling price of hydrogen fuel heavy trucks is high due to a small scale of hydrogen fuel heavy trucks being produced and put into the market, as well as the operating cost being extremely high.

 

Little Persimmon aims to promote the development of the hydrogen industry, they established a partnership with organizations from the hydrogen industry chain. Little Persimmon purchased some hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles by sharing the purchase cost with these partners. Therefore, reducing the purchase and promotion pressure on any party of the hydrogen industry, attracting customers to purchase hydrogen FCEVs, and facilitating the development of the hydrogen industry.
